200 Series Rock Sliders – by Metal-tech 4x4

Updated design in 2025 to eliminate rivnuts and drilling into the frame. This new mounting design is 100% bolt-on using existing features in your 2008–2021 frame.

If you're comfortable changing suspension or installing a winch, you can install these sliders. This is not a “measure, drill, hope it lines up” install — it’s engineered, repeatable, and designed to fit correctly the first time.

What Changed in 2025?

We redesigned the mounting system specifically to eliminate frame modification. Instead of drilling and installing threaded inserts, we provide precision-cut mounts and custom-cut nut sticks that reach into the frame to create incredibly strong threaded anchor points.

Design & Construction

Main Body

  • Built from proven 2" x 4" 3/16" thick steel box tube
  • Ends angled 45° to eliminate blunt ends and engage obstacles better going forward and backward
  • (Yes, we have to back up on obstacles at times!)

Mounting Legs

  • Three 2" x 3" 1/4" thick steel box tube mounting legs per side
  • All frame points cut from 1/4" steel

Frame Mounts

  • Mounts cut to use existing features of your 200 series frame
  • No drilling and no nutserts to install
  • Includes custom-cut nut sticks that slide into the frame to create strong threaded anchor points

Two-Stage Rub Rail

The outside of the slider features a two-stage rub rail. The aft portion sits further outward than the front half to push the rear of your truck away from obstacles you are traversing — helping save your ¼ panel.

Powder Coating (Optional)

We offer powder coating by request. However, we do not provide any warranty for powder coating — from shipping damage to longevity of the finish.

To mitigate shipping damage, we hand-wrap each part in foam, then use brand-new high-quality moving blankets and a custom pallet for each shipment. The added cost for special packaging is included in the powder coating price. Again, no warranty is provided for any powder coating.

Powder Coating Recommendation

We strongly suggest ordering bumpers and sliders raw. We can ship directly to your local powder coater of choice, giving you full control over quality and final finish. This also makes LTL delivery easier since the shipment goes to a business location and does not require you to be home to accept truck freight.

  • Shipping raw eliminates damage to the finish and allows us to package and ship more quickly (reflected in the lower cost for raw items)
  • Local powder coating gives you easier access for any warranty needs that may come up
  • If shipped from us pre-powder coated, there is no warranty for anything related to the powder coating

Raw is the best way to go — lower cost and more control.

Limited Lifetime Slider Warranty

If you ever bend a Metal-tech 4x4 rock slider, contact us, send it back, and we will repair or replace it. More information is available on our warranty page.
