From Garage Beginnings to the Hall of Fame

Since 2000, we’ve been hand-crafting precision off-road kits, so your rig can roam farther and return in one piece.

Our Origin Story

In 1999, Mark Hawley welded his first roll cage for an FJ40 Land Cruiser in his backyard workshop. By 2000, Metal-Tech Cage, LLC was born.

We're driven by one simple goal: build parts tough enough for the nastiest trails.

We’ve never forgotten those lean-in, hands-on days. Every part we design still gets the same garage-born attention to fit and function.

What We Do Today

  • 3D-Scanned Fitment: So every bumper, slider, and chassis link bolts up clean, no hacks or guesswork.
  • CAD-Driven Design: So you get the strongest geometry.
  • In-House Fabrication in Newberg, OR: So you’re buying American-made quality, not low-quality knock-offs.

Hall of Fame & Honors

In 2023, Mark Hawley was inducted into the TLCA Hall of Fame, recognizing his service on the Board since 1988 and decades of Land Cruiser innovation.

Metal-Tech 4×4 earned TLCA Business Member of the Year for sponsoring events, leading trail runs, and giving back to the off-road community.

We’ve also supported Toyota and BBC Top Gear remote-location shoots, bringing authentic off-road action to homes worldwide.
