First released in 2015, the original Goblin bumper set the standard for Lexus GX470 armor. The all-new Goblin 2.0 builds on that proven design with a complete re-engineer for today’s demands: more clearance, easier installation, and customer-driven upgrades gathered over the past 10 years.
Direct Bolt-On Design
The Goblin 2 bumper is a non-destructive, direct bolt-on solution for your Lexus GX470 — no cutting of your painted factory bumper skin required. Designed 100% in CAD from 3D laser scans of the GX, the Goblin 2 offers one of the cleanest, most precise fits possible while maximizing approach angles at the front and sides.
Advanced Engineering
We use state-of-the-art tools like 3D scanning and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to develop every bumper. Virtual testing under linear, non-linear, and dynamic loading conditions ensures the Goblin 2 delivers superior strength and long-term durability in real-world conditions.
Lightweight Strength
Despite being a full-size, winch-ready bumper, the Goblin 2 adds only 82 lbs net to the front of your GX (the bumper itself is 94 lbs, minus 12 lbs of OEM parts removed). Four different steel thicknesses are strategically used throughout the design, with gusseting and mechanically interlocking pieces placed exactly where strength is needed — giving you toughness without unnecessary weight.

- Universal fog light mounts — fit nearly any light; independent brackets allow custom aiming. (LED lights included in our Stage 2 and 3 options)
- Integrated light bar pocket — fits an optional 25” single-row LED bar (Stage 3 option). If no light bar is used, a bolt-in cover plate is available.
- Recessed recovery pull points — no protrusions for a clean, safe face that won’t snag or cause damage in a collision.
- Integrated winch mount system — accepts most planetary-style winches, tucked almost entirely behind the grille with the solenoid remote-mounted under the hood
Real-World Design for IFS Rigs
With IFS (independent front suspension) vehicles, you don’t take obstacles head-on. You angle in, let the suspension flex, then turn into the climb. The Goblin 2 was engineered with extreme approach angles right in front of the tires — far beyond what most will ever need.
Tire Fitment
- Photos shown, all but the last two: GX470 running 285s — massive exposed clearance already built in.
- Designed to handle true 35s with ease. In our last two photos, a 35" tire is shown, and the last photo is a fully flexed 35” tire at the bump stop, still clears cleanly, thanks to the Goblin 2’s expanded wheel-well design.
Finish Options – Raw or Powder Coating
All bumpers ship raw, ready for paint. However, we offer powder coating as an option; please note that it adds approximately 2 weeks to your order.
For the best results, we strongly recommend ordering your bumper raw and having it coated locally. This approach offers two key benefits:
- Your local coater can select the finish best suited to your specific climate and conditions.
- Most local coaters offer a warranty, which we cannot provide for powder coating if ordered as an option from us.
This ensures you get the most durable, warrantied finish possible, tailored to your region. We can ship directly to your local powder coater to save you from taking the bumper to them. This speeds up your bumper being ready for your GX.
