Engineered Suspension Seat Mounting System for Toyota FJ Cruiser
The Metal Tech 4x4 FJ Cruiser Suspension Seat Bracket System is designed to integrate premium off-road suspension seats into your factory FJ Cruiser platform while retaining the OEM slider track system.
This precision-built bracket system allows you to install:
- PRP Seats
- Corbeau Baja Ultra
- Corbeau Baja SS
- Corbeau Baja XP
Designed and built by Metal Tech 4x4, this system replaces the factory seat base while using the factory FJ Cruiser slider track, requiring minimal modification.
Built for Real Off-Road Use
After a long day on the trail, fatigue often comes from constant impact and vibration. A properly designed suspension seat dramatically reduces that fatigue by absorbing trail abuse before it transfers into your body.
Once you experience a true off-road suspension seat, it becomes difficult to go back to a factory seat.

Seat Recommendations
For daily-driven rigs and long-distance trail vehicles, we recommend the PRP Daily Driver or PRP Enduro seats for a balanced combination of comfort and support.
You’ll feel securely planted during technical terrain, yet relaxed after a full day off-road.
If you wish to use other seats, just confirm they have the same bolt pattern as the PRP Daily Drivers. (Most do, but do check)
****Air Bags - Warning lights****
- The Occupant Classification Sensor or OCS is in the stock passenger seat base and is NOT compatible. When the passenger seat is removed, you are removing that sensor as it's built into the base of the seat, not the seat glide.
- The OCS system not being in place will activate the airbag system disabled warning light on your dashboard.
- This mounting kit is intended for use on vehicles built for off-road use only or on vehicles with an OCS overide switch. (We do not make a switch and at this time do not know of any avalible)
If you are comfortable removing factory seats and installing aftermarket components, this system is well within reach of a mechanically capable installer.
