Standard Master Kit – Unassembled Front Struts
The standard version includes the front struts and new KYB top hats, allowing your installer to reuse your existing front coil springs.
Standard front suspension components include:

- OPOR front leveling kit
The original front coil springs must be removed from your existing strut assemblies and installed onto the new struts.
This is a good option if your original front springs are still in good condition and you or your installer are comfortable assembling the new front struts.
Master Kit with Fully Assembled Front Struts
Choose the Fully Assembled Front Strut option for the easiest and most complete installation.
The front strut assemblies arrive fully built with:
- New OPOR front struts
- New front coil springs
- New KYB top hats / strut mounts
- New strut bushings and related assembly components
- Fully assembled and ready to bolt into the vehicle
There is no need to disassemble your original front struts or transfer the original front coil springs.
This option is especially valuable on higher-mileage GX470 and GX460 vehicles where the original springs, struts, bushings, and top mounts have all seen years of service.
It also reduces installation labor by allowing the complete original front strut assembly to be removed and replaced as a unit.

Installation
Estimated installation time for the complete system is approximately 4.5 hours, depending on vehicle condition, installer experience, and selected front strut configuration.
The Standard Front Strut option requires your existing front coil springs to be removed and installed onto the new front struts.
The Fully Assembled Front Strut option arrives with new coil springs and KYB top hats already installed, allowing the original front strut assemblies to be removed and replaced as complete units.
The assembled option can substantially simplify the front portion of the installation and eliminates the need to transfer the original springs.

Does this kit eliminate the Lexus GX rear airbags?
Yes. The Stage 3 rear conversion included in this kit completely replaces the factory rear airbags with conventional coil springs.
Does this kit replace the front and rear suspension?
The kit replaces the rear air springs, rear shocks, and front struts. It also includes the rear conversion hardware and OPOR front leveling kit.
What is the difference between the Standard and Fully Assembled versions?
The Standard Master Kit includes new front struts and KYB top hats, but your existing front coil springs must be transferred to the new struts.

Do the Fully Assembled Front Struts include new springs?

Do I have to reuse my old front coil springs?
Only with the Standard configuration. The Fully Assembled configuration includes new front springs, so your original springs do not need to be reused.
Do I need a spring compressor with the Fully Assembled option?
The new front strut assemblies arrive already assembled, so the old springs do not need to be transferred onto the new struts during installation.
Does this kit maintain stock ride height?
Yes. The rear Super Stock springs are designed around factory-style GX ride height.
The included OPOR front leveling kit raises the front slightly to reduce the factory nose-down stance and provide a more level appearance.
Is welding required?
No. The Metal-tech 4x4 Stage 3 rear coil conversion is a 100% bolt-on system.
Can a normal repair or suspension shop install this kit?
Yes. A qualified automotive or suspension shop can install the system using conventional suspension service procedures.

Shock and strut appearance: The color and appearance of the shocks or struts may differ from the product photos due to manufacturer production updates. These changes do not affect fitment or function.
Electronic suspension: This conversion replaces portions of the factory electronically controlled suspension with conventional non-electronic suspension components. Follow the Metal-tech 4x4 instructions regarding the TEMS / air suspension system during installation.
