1963–1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
The Full Profile FJ40 Roll Cage Kit is designed to deliver a true custom-fit roll cage without the time and complexity of designing one from scratch. All tubes are precision pre-bent by Metal-tech 4x4 to ensure proper fitment to the FJ40 body.
Each straight tube is pre-notched on one end, with additional length left on the opposite end, allowing flexibility during final alignment and fit-up based on installer preference and vehicle condition.
Seat Configuration & Fitment
The Full Profile cage is ideal for FJ40s running a forward-facing rear seat, providing increased passenger protection with a complete rear hoop and overhead structure.
This cage can be used with side-folding rear seats, but modification to the seat brackets is required. If your vehicle primarily uses late-model (1974.5+) side-folding seats, consider our Jackson Roll Cage Kit, which is better suited to that configuration.
All Metal-tech FJ40 roll cages are designed to fit the factory hard top as well as most aftermarket soft tops.

We frequently receive questions regarding inboarding early-style rear jump seats when installing a roll cage.

Premium DOM Steel Construction
Our FJ40 roll cages are constructed from 2" x .120-wall DOM SRA tubing, custom produced to Metal-tech 4x4 specifications.
While standard DOM tubing typically offers 10–12% elasticity, our proprietary tubing delivers 20–24% elasticity, allowing the cage to absorb and dissipate impact energy more effectively in the event of a rollover.
All cage designs are properly engineered in compliance with SCORE racing standards.
