Metal Tech OCS Module 2.0 W/ Airbag Resister

Product Description

Metal-tech 4x4 Occupant Classification Sensor Bypass Module
++This is a non-returnable electrical item  RMAs will NOT be issued for this item ++
The OCS Bypass Module emulates the function of the four seat frame mounted sensors allowing arming/disarming of the passenger airbag by reporting that the seat is either unoccupied (when the switch is in the “OFF” position) or occupied (when the switch is in the “ON” position) by an adult (150+ lbs).
The OCS Bypass module also allows use of a harness, in place of the OEM passenger seat belt by emulating the function of the passenger seat belt buckle sensor. If the optional wire is connected to the Occupant Detection Computer the module will report that the seat belt buckle is latched (when the switch is in the “ON” position) and unlatched (when the switch is in the “OFF” position).
This allows you to fit an aftermarket seat to your vehicle such as a Scheel-Mann or PRP.
OCS module was designed to work with the Toyota part# 89952-35011 Occupant Detection Computer found in many vehicles but does vary depending on trim levels.  If your vehicle has that part number computer then the OCS module will be compatible.

OCS Module 2.0 W/ Airbag resister fits the following vehicle(s):

  • 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser

The module has also been known to work in other Toyota vehicles with Occupant Detection Computer part number 89952-35011 that use a connector with 2 rows of 6 pins.

Vehicles like:

  • 2004-2009 Toyota 4Runner (Limited, SR5)
  • 2004-2014 Sequoia (Limited, Platinum, SR5)

  1. Truly plug and play! 5 Star Review

The only product that lets you swap in any seats you want! Zero airbag codes or lights. If using the seat belt buckle bypass wire, make sure you plug it in the black plug all the way, it has to click like the instructions say!

I remove my 07 FJ passager seat for a larger space, works perfectly no more SRS warning light on the dash! I do believe this is the only way to eliminate the warning light!

  3. Does the trick! 5 Star Review

Only after I had aftermarket seats installed in my 2007 FJ did I learn that the seats weren't compatible with the SRS sensors. They are truly plug and play. It gets rid of that dang dash light.

  4. Works!! 5 Star Review

I installed some other OEM seats in my 2013 Tacoma. The new passenger seat uses the new electrostatic detection tech as opposed to the old weight sensors like my Tacoma, so I needed this bypass module to make everything kosher with the SRS system.

Basic plug n' play. Simple as that. Works great on my Tacoma. The only thing I learned, and maybe I missed it from the instructions, is that in order for the pass. airbag to turn on, you need to in the correct order:
Flip OCS switch to on, WAIT for airbag indicator to read "ON", THEN and only then buckle the seatbelt. If you buckle the seatbelt first, the airbag will not turn on regardless of what you have the OCS switch set to. At least for my Tacoma this was true.

Other thing I did not see in directions. All you do is unplug all the connectors under the OEM seat, then plug this OCS module and done. no need to remove all the OEM sensors themselves, just leave those on the old seat, and cover over your old plugs after the fact to seal from dust/dirt.

  7. Missed seat switch 4 Star Review

Everything was straight forward except I missed the switch under the drivers seat.
This caused the air bag alarm to stay light.
