Built as armor first — and a step second — the Metal-tech 4x4 LX570 sliders were engineered from the ground up specifically for the Lexus 200-series platform. These are not generic rails adapted to fit the truck. They are a fully integrated structural protection system designed to protect the body, frame, and AHC components while still remaining functional for daily use.

True Frame-Integrated Protection

The LX570 required a completely new approach to slider mounting to make a real armor system.

At the core of the design is a full sub-mount structure that distributes impact loads across the entire mid-frame using five vertical mounting blades supporting the outer rail. Blades are positioned near both ends so very little of the slider remains unsupported during an impact.

This allows the entire slider assembly to be safely used as a jacking point with minimal deflection.


Two-Stage Rub Rail (Trademarked Design)

The outer rail uses our U.S. Trademarked two-stage rub rail design (U.S. Trademark Registration No. 4,010,850):

  • Stage 1 sits just outside the door radius to prevent body contact
  • Stage 2 actively pushes the vehicle away from obstacles
  • Protects quarter panels from trees and rocks during slides
  • Maintains a usable stepping surface

These are balanced to function well as a step — but they are designed first and foremost as armor.


Integrated AHC Protection

A lower dimpled AHC guard ties the sub-mount, mounting blades, and outer rail together into a boxed structure while protecting the entire hydraulic system.

This replaces the fragile OEM plastic and thin factory shielding.


Construction

Manufactured in-house in the USA from laser-cut and formed steel.

  • Primary rail: 2" x 4" x .188" boxed steel
  • End ramps: .188" laser-cut 45° plates
  • Rub rail: 1.50" x .120 DOM-SRA tubing
  • Structure thickness: .188" – .500" steel
  • Fully welded structural assembly

Installation Video

Factory plastic rocker steps are removed and replaced by the sliders.

You may:

  • Trim the OEM plastic to reuse as rocker covers
  • OR install OEM Toyota 200-series rocker covers for a factory look (minor trimming required)

Each side installs using 6 included nutserts. All tools and drill bit are included.

Install time: Approximately 5 hours
